Welcome to the web site supporting the East Hastings Education Conference.

The conference, held on Wednesday 13^th June 2007, at University Centre Hastings, was a community-driven event sponsored by the East Hastings Area Management Board. Over 60 people attended the conference from a variety of organisations.

In these pages you will find;

In addition, in the coming months even more material will be added to this site as we follow-up the findings and recommendations of the conference.

Since the conference, the Learning & Skills Theme Group of the Hastings Local Strategic Partnership has agreed to act as the steering group for this web site. You can see papers from this group by clicking on the tab above. Including the report from the LSP Education Conference held on 30th November 2007 at The White Rock Theatre.

New Indices of Multiple Deprivation were published in November 2007. It is on these figures that Hastings has been awarded Working Neighbourhoods Funding. You can see the new information describing the levels of deprivation in Hastings and East Sussex by clicking on the link below.
